Companies currently in production on the animated preschool series ‘Charlie’s Ark,’ which follows a 5-year-old boy who goes on magical adventures with his toy animals.
The FuturumKids and Toonz Media Group have announced a co-production and co-distribution deal for the animated preschool series Charlie’s Ark (52 x 11). Based on the children’s book of the same name by Mike Payne, the series tells the story of Charlie, a five-year-old boy, and the ark-shaped toybox he keeps his toy animals in. Unlike normal toy animals, Charlie’s toys join him on magical adventures.
“We are elated to join hands with FuturumKids to co-produce and co-distribute this promising preschool show called Charlie’s Ark,” commented Toonz Media Group CEO P. Jayakumar. “This partnership affirms our commitment to make kids and families happy by providing high-quality content.”
The series is currently in production in Ireland and Las Palmas. Long-term plans include licensing and merchandising and building on writer and illustrator Payne’s success in commercial greeting card design, books, and gift concepts.
