Frima Studio Announces 'Phoenix Park'

Frima partners with Image-In on the new animated series “Phoenix Park.”

Quebec City, Canada -- Frima Studio announced a new co-production agreement on the eve of MipTV in Cannes, France. In the wake of their recent agreement to co-produce the Squids series with Moonscoop, Frima continues expanding their animation footprint with an ambitious new project, Phoenix Park.

“This latest partnership agreement with Image-In continues the breakneck expansion of our animation capabilities,” said Christine Côté, Executive Producer at Frima Studio. “The series is exactly the sort of technically challenging and aesthetically lofty project our team is working to be known for worldwide.”

Frima and Image-inwill co-produce a series titled Phoenix Park that isaimed at 7-10 year olds and follows the comedic adventures of a gang of beach garbage. Throughout the 52 7-minute episodes, the loveable gang conquers obstacles on their quest towards Phoenix Park, the recycling center sure to save them from the incinerator. For the show, Frima’s experienced animators will produce a unique artistic style, blending 3D animated characters with live-action landscapes.

“Frima’s animation team is a natural partner for the Phoenix Park project and we are eager to see the amazing work our collaboration can produce. With such talented teams behind them, our friendly garbage should have no trouble at all making their way to Phoenix Park,” said Jean de Vivie, founder and producer at Image-in.

With a second international co-production agreement in hand, Frima heads to MipTV to continue building partnerships with industry leading studios and turning out remarkable pieces of animation.
