Fredrikstad Animation Festival Changes its Dates

Change made to better position the Norway event in relation to the nation’s other film events.

The festival board of Norsk Animasjonsforum has made a decision to change the dates for Fredrikstad Animation Festival, and has decided to move it to the end of October, with the 2018 edition set for Oct. 25-28.

The changes are due to changes in the schedule of Norwegian film festivals, where several other film festivals in Norway have been changing their dates recently. Changes in the international scene and campaigns have also made an impact on the decision to change the dates of the Nordic region’s largest animation festival.

The move of the festival will also affect the pre-selection processes and the submission dates. Submissions will open May 1, with the deadline June 1.

The festival administration is looking forward to welcoming all fans of animation, festival devotees and filmmakers to four fantastic days in October, for a brand new edition of Fredrikstad Animation Festival.
