France’s ‘Sense of Touch’ Wins 2015 Grand Prix at Stuttgart

France’s ‘Le sense du toucher’ (The Sense of Touch), directed by Jean-Charles Mbotti Malolo, takes home the festival’s Grand Prix prize, while Daisy Jacob’s ‘The Bigger Picture’ (U.K.) receives the Lotte Reiniger Promotion Award for Animated Film.

Stuttgart – With about 80,000 visitors, the 22nd Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) came to an end on Sunday, May 10, and, despite poor weather and a rail strike, attendance nearly met 2014’s record-breaking numbers.

The Festival ended with the awarding of the Trickstars, together worth more than 60,000 Euros in prizes. France’s Le sense du toucher (The Sense of Touch), directed by Jean-Charles Mbotti Malolo, took home the festival’s Grand Prix prize, while Daisy Jacob’s The Bigger Picture (U.K.) received the Lotte Reiniger Promotion Award for Animated Film.
