Twentieth Century Fox has picked up the rights to Alexandra Bracken's upcoming sci-fi book series BLACK IS THE COLOR, reports Variety. Disney Hyperion will publish the first book in the planned trilogy next summer. The story follows a 16-year-old telekinetic who has trouble controlling her powers who joins other superpowered teen on the lamb.
21 Laps' Shawn Levy is the producer with 21 Laps' Billy Rosenberg and Missy Foster and Fox's Drew Crevello shepherding development.
