Foundry Launches Nuke Annual License Subscriptions

New plan offers lower upfront costs with the same benefits as perpetual licenses; reduced costs provide affordable entry for growing businesses.

Foundry has launched new licenses for the Nuke family products (including Nuke, NukeX, Nuke Studio, Hiero, HieroPlayer, and Nuke Render), now available by annual subscription. In addition, new perpetual licenses for these products will continue for existing Nuke customers for the next 12 months through December 31, 2023, with quarterly rentals remaining available.

Each new subscription purchase of NukeX and Nuke Studio will include two free Nuke Render subscriptions, helping new customers provision renderfarms and existing customers expand renderfarms as workloads increase.

The subscription pricing transition will increase purchasing flexibility and lower initial costs to users.

“We are committed to lowering the barriers to entry for new customers and those adding new seats of Nuke,” said Christy Anzelmo, Chief Product Officer. "Subscription pricing enables customers to purchase more flexibly as their business grows and changes with new shows or projects.”

Subscription customers share the same benefits as perpetual license owners, with either offline or online login-based licensing system (launched recently for Nuke 14.0 onward) and floating rights enabling multiple artists or machines to share the same license.

Foundry customers who have purchased perpetual Nuke family licenses before December 31, 2023, can continue to use and maintain those licenses, while customers on active maintenance will continue receiving product updates and technical support.
