Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends Game Launches

On May 15, 2006, CartoonNetwork.com launched BIG FAT AWESOME HOUSE PARTY, a free yearlong interactive game that allows players to immerse themselves in the hit series, FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, by creating their very own imaginary friend. Players will be encouraged to explore the ever-changing adventures with their new imaginary friend, play mini-games, collect upgrades and take part in every aspect of life at Madame Fosters famous house.

BIG FAT AWESOME HOUSE PARTY is our most ambitious game to date and underscores Cartoon Network New Medias commitment to providing innovative, high-quality games for our fans, said Paul Condolora, svp/gm of Cartoon Network New Media. The FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS game allows us to continue the storylines of the popular quirky characters and involve the series passionate fans in a fun and interactive environment.

BIG FAT AWESOME HOUSE PARTY will roll out new levels, additional games and exciting new features throughout the year and into 2007. Players may choose from more than 900,000 possible combinations of shapes, colors and faces to create their own imaginary friend, who is then placed inside Madame Fosters virtual house.

They then must earn their keep in the house by performing a daily list of duties. Players may complete favors for characters they meet along the way, who will, in turn, lend a hand with the player's duties. Once players complete certain tasks, they may go an adventure with Bloo, unlock and play mini-games and earn collectibles for their character. At least two mini-games will be added with the completion of each phase and players will have the ability to access all previous levels and mini-games.

BIG FAT AWESOME HOUSE PARTY will take part in a special event tied to brand new episodes of FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS. All players who have created friends in the game will have the chance to see their avatar appear in one of the new episodes airing this summer.

FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, created by Craig McCracken, airs on Cartoon Network on Friday evenings at 7:00 pm. In the series, the shy Mac has the perfect alter ego in his imaginary friend Blooregard Q. Kazoo. Bloo is the impulsive and brash creature who lives at Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, a haven for wayward imaginary friends like Wilt, Eduardo, Coco and others who have been separated from the kids who invented them. One of Cartoon Networks top rated original series, FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS is now in its fourth season and has also been greenlit for a fifth season.
