14 NOVEMBER 2011, LONDON: On Saturday 12 November, everyone’s favourite hero next door, Fireman Sam, took part in the prestigious Lord Mayor’s Show procession alongside the ‘Classic Fire Engines’ company. Fireman Sam walked the three mile parade route and waved to the hundreds of thousands of people who lined the streets. Sam was joined by firefighters from across the UK and a classic Dennis F108 ET London Emergency Fire Engine that was originally based at Clerkenwell and attended the infamous Moorgate tube disaster in 1975.

Fireman Sam’s involvement in the Lord Mayor’s Show follows what has been a hugely successful year for the number two pre-school boys brand*. Not only did the brand win ‘Best Pre-school Property’ at The Licensing Awards, the Pontypandy Multi Rescue Set from Character Options has just become a 2011 Dream Toy for Christmas.*NPD Sept 2011
