Finnish Broadcaster YLE on Board for ‘Dog Loves Books’

Animated series currently in pre-production is due to go into production at Komixx Media Group’s Manchester-based Mackinnon & Saunders Digital Studios.

LONDON & LOS ANGELES -- Komixx Media Group announced that Finnish broadcasting company, YLE has come on board as an international broadcaster for Dog Loves Books, an animated series based on the award-winning books by Louise Yates. Dog Loves Books tells the story of bookshop owner Dog and his best friend Pug. Whenever Dog or Pug have a problem to solve or a question to answer, they look in one of their beloved books. The fun really begins when Dog opens a book and he and Pug are swept away into an imaginative world of adventure, where anything is possible. The series is aimed at 4-6 year olds.

Dog Loves Books has been developed, from the original books by Louise Yates, by Komixx, Head of Development, Melanie Halsall and award-winning screenwriter, Alan Gilbey. The animated series is currently in pre-production and due to go into production in autumn in Komixx’s animation studio, Mackinnon & Saunders Digital Studios in Manchester. CBeebies have already been confirmed as the primary broadcaster for Dog Loves Books in the UK.

Dog Loves Books will add to the raft of content Komixx has developed and is currently developing for all platforms spanning home television, cinema, online, on-demand, mobile media and live events including; Toby’s Travelling Circus, Stanley, Wanda and the Alien and Fish Head Steve.
