Actor/director/writer Til Schweiger, who appeared in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, secured $1.1 million for RABBIT WITHOUT EARS AND TWO-EARED CHICK, based on the children's books inspired by his RABBIT WITHOUT EAR live-action comedies. Warner Bros., Schweiger's Barefoot Films and Thilo Graf Rothkirch's Cartoon Film are producing. Schweiger and Rothkirch are set to direct.

Additionally, WALTZ WITH BASHIR helmer Ari Folman received $960,000 for his live-action/animation hybrid THE CONGRESS. Based on Stanislaw Lem's novel THE FUTUROLOGICAL CONGRESS, the story follows a man who falls asleep in the sewer after a riot and wakes up 150 years later where the alternative world of hallucinogenic drugs has replaced reality. Robin Wright will star in the film produced by Pandora Film, Les Armateurs and Le Pacte.
