Disney homage created by veteran animator known for his work on classic animated features such as ‘Aladdin,’ ‘Pocahontas’ and ‘Hercules’ pays tribute to ‘Snow White,’ ‘Fantasia,’ ‘Cinderella’ and Mickey Mouse.

Fox TV has unveiled a new Couch Gag for the opening credit sequence of The Simpsons created by veteran animator Eric Goldberg.

Known for his work on classic animated Disney features such as Aladdin, Pocahontas and Hercules, Goldberg pays tribute to his Disney roots in the new gag, which airs on Sunday, April 24.

In the sequence, the entire Simpsons family morphs into various Disney characters, with Homer taking on a Jungle Book-inspired look, while Marge comes straight out of Snow White. Bart appears as Mickey Mouse in Fantasia, while Lisa takes on Cinderella and Maggie is the classic Mickey Mouse:

Goldberg's other credits include Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Wreck-It Ralph and the forthcoming Moana. The veteran animator joins an outstanding lineup of guest animators for The Simpsons, which includes Ren and Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi, World of Tomorrow director Don Hertzfeldt, and Chick director Michal Socha as well as Guillermo Del Toro, Bill Plympton and Sylvain Chomet.
