Entertainment Rights has appointed Fabian Milburn, formerly Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Oxygen Media, to the position of Senior Vice President, Business Affairs, North America and Global Digital, effective immediately.
Based at the company's North American headquarters in New York, Milburn reports to Deborah Dugan, Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Rights' North American operations. He will also work closely with Entertainment Rights' international team on its Global digital strategy roll out.
Milburn brings to Entertainment Rights more than 10 years of experience in entertainment and television network business in addition to legal counseling. In his newly appointed position, Milburn will oversee all legal, administrative and business affairs for both Classic Media and Big Idea.
In addition, he will lead the development of the overall group's digital business, bringing the Company's brands and characters, including: WHERE'S WALDO?, CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST, GUMBY, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, VEGGIETALES, and SHE-RA, to the digital environment. This will encompass such platforms as VOD, Broadband, mobile and IPTV; the company's brands also lend themselves to further opportunities in the video and downloadable games arena.
Previous to joining Entertainment Rights, Milburn was the Senior Vice President of Business Operations for Oxygen Media where he restructured the Business & Legal Affairs division to become a full service team providing counsel and advice to emerging lines of business. Prior to Oxygen Media, he held various roles in business and legal affairs for MTV Networks, Fox Family Channel and Black Entertainment Television.
Milburn received his Juris Doctorate from The American University, Washington College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University.
