eOne Appointed Sole Distributor For Rob The Robot Season 2

Entertainment One (eOne) has announced its appointment as distributor for the second series of Amberwood Entertainment and One Animation’s hit preschool brand, Rob the Robot.

LONDON, UK – 02 October, 2011 – Entertainment One (eOne) has announced its appointment as distributor for the second series of Amberwood Entertainment and One Animation’s hit preschool brand, Rob the Robot. Building on eOne’s existing joint TV and Home Entertainment rights with Amberwood for Series one, the deal will see the indie as sole distributor of the property for all rights outside of Asia. Rights in Asia will remain with One Animation.

Rob the Robot series 2 – a 52 x 11’ CG animated preschool show – follows the adventures of Rob and his friends as they explore the fantastical planets of the Robot Galaxy, which are ripe with humour and fun. The series is a co-production between Canada’s Amberwood Entertainment and Singapore’s One Animation, with support from the MDA, CMF and the Shaw Rocket Fund.

Rob the Robot was originally commissioned by Canada’s TVO Kids, who has ordered a further 52 episodes following the property’s successful ratings in Canada and other launch markets such as France, Sweden, Norway, Latin America, Israel, Korea, Australia and the Middle East. SRC, Knowledge Kids and Access are also on board.
