The CW audiences tuned into Wednesday night's season finale of Arrow were treated to a much-anticipated sneak peek of The Flash in a crossover event featuring CG artistry by Encore VFX. In addition to the promo, Encore handled VFX for The Flash pilot, and with the show officially greenlit, the company is also set to deliver VFX for future episodes.
Encore VFX Supervisor Armen Kevorkian, who recently won an Emmy and VES Award for work on Banshee, was on-set in Vancouver for both the pilot and promo shoots. “Bringing the Flash character to life comes with a lot of fan expectation and hype; I hope the VFX we’ve created rings true with viewers and immerses them into the story,” he said.
The Flash series will be the origin story of forensic scientist Barry Allen, who can move at superhuman speeds following a freak accident.
