Emmy-Winning Sound Specialist Geisler Joins Pacific Soundwaves

Leading post-production sound facility Pacific Soundwaves announced that animation sound specialist Michael Geisler has joined the company as supervising sound editor. Bringing the award-winning sound designer/editor on staff enables Pacific Soundwaves to better address the very specific needs of animated film, television, gaming and interactive projects. A highly-regarded audio pro and founder of sound postproduction company BadaBing BadaBoom, Geisler is now serving his extensive base of animation clients as a member of Pacific Soundwaves team, at its top-of-the-line Burbank facility.

Geisler is a 20-year veteran of the post-production industry and has received two Emmy Awards, five Emmy nominations for sound editing and design, and a number of Golden Reel Awards. He founded BadaBing BadaBoom Prods. in 1998, where he handled sound design and sound/music editing, Foley, ADR, dialogue recording, foreign language dubbing and more, for animation and live-action TV, direct-to-video, feature film, Web-based media, radio productions and commercials. Prior to that, he was post-production supervisor and voice director for Matinee Ent.

He has supervising sound editor credits on more than 35 TV and film projects including; COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG, REN AND STIMPY, DISNEY'S ALADDIN, JOHNNY BRAVO, THE BABY HUEY SHOW and BIKER MICE FROM MARS; and Foley credits on films including A SCANNER DARKLY, KINSEY, WAKING LIFE, KISS KISS BANG BANG, BEFORE SUNSET and others; and sound design credits on 20 film and TV titles including BIONICLES, DR. SEUSS HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, DISNEYS THE LITTLE MERMAID, DANTES PEAK, SPACE JAM and many others.

At Pacific Soundwaves, Geisler has hit the ground running, as supervising sound editor for the upcoming Cartoon Network series SQUIRREL BOY, by Everett Peck, creator of DUCK MAN.

Pacific Soundwaves owner and mixer, Stephen Clark, said, Michael is just an amazing sound designer with a really strong following among clients in the animation world. He does it all supervising sound editor, sound designer, Foley, and dialogue recording, voice directing and casting you name it. Hes been a go-to guy in this space for a long time because clients know hell create the sound they want. Were excited to have Michael working with us and bringing his energy and excitement to Pacific Soundwaves.

Geisler said, The needs of my clients had exceeded what I could offer them at my own facility, and I was looking to become part of a bigger facility better designed to deliver full services. The first time I set foot in Pacific Soundwaves, I knew it was the right place. It is fully equipped with multiple mixing rooms and stages, beautiful voice booths for large and small groups, and top of the line gear. It has a relaxed vibe and felt comfortable and familiar right from the get-go just as my other space did. Its almost like BadaBing on steroids! People want something special and we can handle everything the clients need at Pacific Soundwaves in style. Its a great place to work.
