eDward Deadline Coming on Sept. 19

eDward: The Young Filmmaker’s Award has issues its final call for entries.

Press Release from eDward

eDward: The Young Filmmaker’s Award has issues its final call for entries. The deadline is Sept. 19, 2011.

People aspire to freedom – it is something that all of us, all over the world, of all ages have sought at all times. But what is freedom exactly? Is it more than simply “being free of” something? What do we associate with the term “freedom” and why does it mean so much to us? We are also afraid of freedom, of the responsibility and loss of security it implies. Freedom often comes up against limits, both internal and external. Where does freedom begin and where does it end? How much are we willing to let freedom limit us, consciously or otherwise?  How important is freedom to us?

Freedom has many facets. We can seek it in the little things of daily life, our job or our family – and it can be of major significance on a much larger, global scale. Please feel free to show us your vision, your dream, your story (or stories) of freedom.  Send in a film of up to max. 30 seconds. The form of the entry (feature, animation, hybrid form etc.) is free. The competition is open to young filmmakers up to 30.
