Duck Dodgers Leads Daytime Emmy Nominations

DUCK DODGERS led animated shows with three Daytime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Special Class Animated Program in the 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards competition announced today (March 4, 2004) on the NBS TODAY SHOW. ARTHUR, STATIC SHOCK DISNEYS KIM POSSIBLE and CLIFFORDS PUPPY DAYS received two nods each from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

This years ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC on May 21, from New York Citys Radio City Music Hall from 9:00 11:00 pm. The animation, music and editing awards will be presented during the untelevised Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Awards, May15, in New York City at the Marriott Marquis Hotel and in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre Ballroom.

The Lifetime Achievement Award this year will be presented to ten veteran actors who have devoted a major portion of their careers to Daytime Drama: Rachel Ames, John Clarke, Jeanne Cooper, Eileen Fulton, Don Hastings, Anna Lee, Ray MacDonnell, Frances Reid, Helen Wagner, and Ruth Warrick.

Daytime Emmy Awards are presented to daytime television programs that are broadcast between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The eligibility period for all awards was January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003. The 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is a presentation of the National Television Academy in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
