The studio will present sneak peeks at unannounced film projects, a work-in-progress and panel on the upcoming feature ‘Trolls Band Together,’ the world premiere of ‘Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken’ and a special outdoor screening of ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish;’ the festival runs June 11-17.
DreamWorks Animation will showcase its latest projects at the 2023 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, which runs June 11-17, with presentations featuring the latest studio offerings, which blend new installments in studios franchises with innovative originals.

Tuesday, June 13, 4 p.m., at the L’Impérial Palace
Studio Focus presentation: The session will look at two upcoming film projects, with Academy Award nominee Director Kirk DeMicco leading a discussion on the visual design and making of the new original film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken. The presentation will also offer attendees an exclusive first look at an unannounced movie from the studio.
On Thursday, June 15, 5 p.m. at La Grande Salle de Bonlieu
Work-in-progress presentation: A look at the new chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s musical franchise, Trolls Band Together (in theaters November 17), with a panel led by the film’s returning director Walt Dohrn, producer Gina Shay, and co-director Tim Heitz. The presentation will offer a sneak peek of the film’s animation and all-new original songs.

The world premiere: Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (in theaters June 30) debuts with a special introduction from DeMicco, producer Kelly Cooney Cilella, and the film’s co-director, Faryn Pearl.

Outdoor screening: See the Oscar-nominated blockbuster Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, screened outside, under the stars in the heart of Annecy. The film is directed by Joel Crawford and produced by Mark Swift.
