Dr. Seuss Enters the New World of NFTs

Seussibles invites fans into the whimsical world of blockchain technology and NFT collectibles posing the question: A Blockchain! A Blockchain, Could you? Would you on a Blockchain?

Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Dapper Labs, and Tibles, a first mover NFT collectibles startup, have teamed up to bring the iconic and whimsical world of Seuss to the Flow blockchain with the launch of Seussibles. The digital experience for mobile and web gives fans the opportunity to own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of their favorite Dr. Seuss characters including The Cat in The Hat, the Lorax, the Grinch, and Horton. Seuss NFTS can be bought and traded, providing collectors a platform to connect with other fans.

Drawing on the idea of the kids’ sticker collections, the new experience is designed to hit a balance of nostalgia and discovery in a new digital format. Fans can shop to purchase NFTs, view their acquisitions in virtual sticker books, and place them on the wall in their “Room,” where other users can see their collection. Fans can also join the “Clubhouse” to chat with others about collectibles, visit “Trading” to barter and swap collectibles, and showcase and share their favorites on social media.

“We are always looking for new ways for fans to immerse themselves in the iconic Dr. Seuss characters they love,” noted Dr. Seuss Enterprises president Susan Brandt. “More people than ever are building collections in the digital world, and it seemed like a natural next step for us to collaborate with Dapper Labs and Tibles on this endeavor. We want to meet our fans where they are, and we’re excited to have our line-up of NFTs very accessible to everyone.”

More than 600 collectibles are available for purchase including fan favorites from The Cat in The Hat; How the Grinch Stole Christmas!; Green Eggs and Ham; Fox in Socks; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; Horton Hears a Who!; The Cat in the Hat Comes Back; The Lorax; Hop on Pop; and Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?.  All NFTs are stored on the Flow blockchain and early next year, fans will have the opportunity to buy and sell their collectibles on a secondary peer-to-peer web-based marketplace.

“We’re thrilled to work with great partners like Tibles to launch unique NFT experiences that give consumers a new way to engage with their favorite brands,” added Dapper Labs head of partnerships Caty Tedman. “We look forward to watching Dr. Seuss fans experience the joy of collecting NFTs on Flow while connecting with other fans to show off their collections.”

“The wonderful artwork and stories of Dr. Seuss, the collector-first experience of the Tibles platform, and the ease, speed, and affordability of the Flow blockchain make for a special experience that can bring new users into the NFT collecting space,” explained Tibles CEO Erich Wood. “And the Lorax would be happy to see how environmentally friendly the Flow blockchain is.”
