Don't Miss SIGGRAPH Asia 2019's Technical Briefs Deadline Coming August 12!

The program encourages submission of research results in graphics as well as the intersections of graphics with vision, image, video, visualization, HCI and CAD.

The SIGGRAPH Asia 2019 Technical Briefs program is an international forum for presenting new and thought-provoking ideas, techniques, and applications in graphics, especially at the intersections of graphics with vision, image, video, visualization, HCI, VR, and CAD. The entry deadline is fast approaching – projects submissions must be received by August 12!

International experts in academia and industry present the best results in peer-reviewed research spanning a wide range of research areas including:

  • Geometry and Modelling
  • Animation and Visual Effects
  • Computer Vision and Image Understanding
  • Learning techniques for Computer Graphics
  • Image and Video Processing Applications
  • Human-Computer Interaction
  • Video Gaming
  • Computer-Aided Design
  • Information Visualization and Scientific Visualization
  • Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality
  • Multimedia Applications
  • Web Graphics and Mobile Graphics
  • Computer Graphics Education

What types of briefs should be submitted to SIGGRAPH Asia?

New research results in graphics, including those at the intersections of graphics with vision, image, video, visualization, HCI, CAD, etc. are welcome. The list is not exhaustive. As always, excellence of the ideas is the predominant acceptance criterion.

How do I decide whether to submit my work as a paper, a technical brief, or a poster?

The Technical Papers program is the most competitive of these three. Technical papers provide a chance to work out ideas at greater length and describe them in a citable archive. The program is a dynamic forum for new and thought-provoking ideas, techniques, and applications in graphics; especially at the intersections between graphics and other relevant research fields. It is ideal for presenting innovative ideas that are well polished, high-impact practical contributions that build on existing research, and cool "tricks" that help users solve challenging problems.

The Submission deadline is August 12, 2019, 23:59 UTC/GMT
Information about the submission process is available on the SIGGRAPH Asia 2019 website.
