After recent news that it was being retitled HORIZONS, Disney has decided to drop TRON: LEGACY director Joseph Kosinski's sci-fi feature OBLIVION, reports Variety. The story is based on a Radical Publishing comic Kosinski developed, Rex Mundi wrote and Andree Wallin illustrated.

The story is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth where survivors live above the clouds and away from the scavengers that live on the surface. A surface-drone repairman discovers a strange woman in a pod, which makes him question everything he knows.

William Monahan (THE DEPARTED) penned the script with Karl Gajdusek doing a rewrite.

Now Kosinski and Radical are free to shop the project elsewhere. Radical's president/publisher Barry Levine was set to produce alongside director Kosinski. Radical Studios' EVP Jesse Berger was exec producing.
