Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Tops 2015 Licensing Expo Awards

The consumer products campaign for Disney’s mega-hit animated movie ‘Frozen’ takes top honors for Overall Best Licensed Program and Best Film, Television, or Entertainment (Animated) Program at the annual International Licensing Awards.

The consumer products campaign for Disney’s mega-hit animated movie Frozen took top honors as Overall Best Licensed Program last night at the annual International Licensing Awards – held at the 2015 Licensing Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Frozen also won in the Film, Television, or Entertainment (Animated) Program category, while Kohl’s Department Stores received the coveted Retailer of the Year Award for its in-store presentation of Frozen. In addition, JAKKS Pacific tied with Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product line for the win in the Film, Television, or Entertainment Animated Licensee: Hard Goods category for its Disney’s Frozen/Snow Glow Elsa doll. Mojang’s hit video game Minecraft was also recognized with wins in multiple categories, as was Knockout Licensing for multiple wins in the Film, Television, or Entertainment (Live Action) category.

“We’re delighted to recognize the huge impact that all of our Awards winners have had in the marketplace, including Frozen as 2014’s top success story,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto. “These achievements underscore the high caliber of today’s licensing initiatives and the significance of licensed properties and brands throughout the world.”
