And they had a lot to share! Here’s what they discussed:
I Am Groot – A collection of animated short films starring everyone’s favorite little sapling launches August 10 on Disney+.
There’s no guarding the galaxy against this mischievous toddler! So, get ready as Baby Groot takes center stage in his very own collection of shorts, exploring his glory days growing up—and getting into trouble—among the stars.
Writer/director/executive producer Lepore treated the audience to the trailer and new key art and answered questions about the upcoming series. Then, she treated them to a trailer, shared key art and surprised them with the screening of “Groot Takes a Bath,” a short from the collection. She also announced a second collection of five shorts.
Vin Diesel voices Baby Groot, the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and James Gunn.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year - The animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. The series comes to Disney+ in 2024.
Executive producer and head writer Jeff Trammell teased the show with the cast of characters, and Ryan Meinerding showed off the new Spider-Man suit designed for the series. In addition, Trammel revealed that moderator Tompkins will be playing a character in the series and that a second season of the new show is already in the works, aptly titled Spider-Man: Sophomore Year.
What If…? - The animated series questions, revisits, and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles. Season 2 comes to Disney+ early 2023. Executive producer Bryan Andrews directs the show with executive producer AC Bradley as head writer.
Andrews and Bradley talked about the Emmy-nominated series and showed the trailer for Season 2. Ending the presentation was a surprise screening of an episode from the show’s next season and announced Season 3.
Marvel Zombies - The animated series reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge. Directed by executive producer Andrews and written by executive producer Zeb Wells. The show will stream on Disney+; no release date was announced.
Andrews talked about the series background, and its origins from an episode of What If…? Season 1 and presented concept art.
X-MEN ’97 - The animated series will explore new stories in the iconic ’90s timeline of the original series, and it comes to Disney+ in Fall 2023.
Winderbaum spoke fondly of the legacy of X-Men: The Animated Series and presented a sizzle reel featuring the cast and creatives from the popular ‘90s animated show. Executive producer and head writer Beau DeMayo then spoke about the new series, shared artwork, and presented an animatic AV piece. He also mentioned that the show would use the original X-Men theme music. Season 2 has also been announced.
