Disney Junior is set to launch in the U.K. on May 7, reports Variety. The new network, which replaces Playhouse Disney, will start broadcasting in the U.S. in February. Disney plans to have the channel in 23 additional markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa by year's end.
Geared toward the 2-7 audience, Disney Junior programming will be available via TV, web, VOD, mobile and paid download platforms. Shows include Spider Eye Animation's JUNGLE JUNCTION, JAKE AND THE NEVER LAND PIRATE and MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE.
