New footage from the forthcoming series sees Diego Luna reprise his role as rebel hero Cassian Andor.

Disney+ has shared the trailer and key art from Andor, the upcoming series from Lucasfilm featured at Thursday's Star Wars Celebration.

Andor is set prior to the events of Rogue One. Per Disney+, “the series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.”

Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor; he's joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Luna, and Michelle Rejwan serve as executive producers. Tony Gilroy is the creator and serves as showrunner.

The trailer drop comes just as Disney has announced another franchise series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, from creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

VFX on the show are being handled by Hybride, ILM, and Soho VFX.

Andor will air exclusively on Disney+ August 31, 2022, beginning with its first two episodes.
