Rosario Dawson stars in Lucasfilm’s next entry to the ‘Star Wars’ universe, set after the fall of the Empire, which debuts August 23; streamer showcases some major galactic girl power in the new teaser, ‘Begin.’
Disney+ and Lucasfilm have finally shared a teaser for the highly anticipated upcoming Ahsoka series, giving fans a glimpse of an epic lightsaber battle between Sabine Wren and Shin Hati. Also revealed in the spot was the official August 23 release date.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Rosario Dawson, who reprises her The Mandalorian role as Ahsoka Tano, is joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren; Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla; Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati; Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch; Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker; Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll; David Tennant as Huyang; Temeura Morrison as Captain Rex; and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
