Disney+ Drops ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Teaser Trailer and Images

Between darkness and defeat, hope survives; to fans it’s felt like an eternity, but hope springs eternal, as the long-awaited new ‘Star Wars’ series nears its May 25 release.

Disney+ has dropped a teaser trailer and images for its highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series, giving fans an exciting first look at the limited series, which launches exclusively May 25 on the streaming service.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Staring Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, Hayden Christensen also returns in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram; Joel Edgerton; Bonnie Piesse; Kumail Nanjiani; Indira Varma; Rupert Friend; O’Shea Jackson Jr.; Sung Kang; Simone Kessell’ and Benny Safdie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed, and executive produced by Deborah Chow. Also serving as executive producers are McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, and Joby Harold.
