Disney+ Drops ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Trailer and Art

Lucasfilms’ hit sci-fi adventure series follows the Mandalorian’s continued journeys through the ‘Star Wars’ galaxy; new 8-episode season kicks off in March.

Last night, Disney+ treated football fans to the Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer, shown during halftime of the NFL Super Wild Card matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, simulcast on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN+. And today, all fans can now check out the trailer below - along with newly released key art - from the upcoming new season of Lucasfilms’ original, live-action sci-fi adventure series – premiering on the streamer March 1.

In Season 3, the journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal; Katee Sackhoff; Carl Weathers; Amy Sedaris; Emily Swallow; and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the new eight-episode season include Rick Famuyiwa; Rachel Morrison; Lee Isaac Chung; Carl Weathers; Peter Ramsey; and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jon Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

VFX for the new season are produced by a group of studios including Ghost VFX, Hybride, ILM, Image Engine, and Important Looking Pirates. The Production VFX Supervisor is Richard Bluff.
