Disney Channel to Air Uninterrupted Lion, Witch, Wardrobe on Friday

Press Release from Disney Channel

Disney Channel will present an episode of "Zeke and Luther," a new Disney XD comedy series from the team behind "Even Stevens" and starring the talented Hutch Dano, Adam Hicks, Daniel Curtis Lee and Ryan Newman, on Friday, June 19 (7:30 p.m., ET/PT), followed by an uninterrupted telecast of Walt Disney Pictures' "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."

In Disney XD's comedy series "Zeke and Luther," 15-year-old Zeke and Luther are lifelong buddies who are determined to become world famous skateboarders. Fame and fortune are a long way off, but these boys dream big and are undeterred by nay-sayers and wipeouts. From the team behind the Emmy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning Disney Channel series "Even Stevens," Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard, the new Disney XD single-camera comedy follows Zeke and Luther's enduring friendship and the outrageous adventures they have on their way to fulfilling their dream.

The "Zeke and Luther" premiere on June 15, launched as Disney's XD's No. 1 series premiere on record in prime, and No. 1 half-hour series debut on the network overall, among Kids 6-14 (305,000) and Tweens 9-14 (183,000), driven by core Boys 6-14 (232,000) and Boys 9-14 (131,000), respectively. The Disney Channel Friday programming lineup is:

"Phineas and Ferb" (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) – In the episode "The Chronicles of Meap," Phineas and Ferb accidentally knock an alien spacecraft into their backyard while playing baseball. While they are busy trying to repair it, Candace discovers Meap, an alien she believes has been "roboticized" by Phineas and Ferb, and sets out to bust her brothers with the evidence in hand. Meanwhile, Phineas, Ferb and Isabella are captured by Mitch, a rogue alien whom Meap was tracking before his spacecraft crashed. Candace and Meap team up to save them while Dr. Doofenshmirtz's battle with Perry lands them right in the middle of the rescue plan. The episode guest stars Lorenzo Lamas, BAFTA Award winner David Mitchell and the late Don LaFontaine. The episode carries a TV-G parental guideline.

"Zeke and Luther" (7:30 p.m., ET/PT) – Luther and Zeke get their first professional skateboarding job when Ginger arranges for them to perform a jump at a mattress store's grand opening celebration. Seduced by the perks of fame, Zeke and Luther nearly miss their debut and learn a valuable lesson about professionalism. The episode carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

Walt Disney Pictures' "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) -- C.S. Lewis' timeless adventure "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings -- Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter -- in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch's powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from Jadis' icy spell forever.
