Dimension 3 Fest Adds 4K Content

Dimension 3 Festival launches a call for entries and announces that they will now accept productions in 4K.

Sèvres, France -- Dimension 3 Festival launched its call for films in 2013 with big news: previously open to all 3D formats, the competition will now also feature productions in 4K. The deadline for film submissions is April 26th.

On June 20th, about thirty films will be continuously screened in a theater in Seine-Saint-Denis and an evening ceremony with 400 professionals will reward the best S3D and 4K contents.

Distributors, producers and directors who wish to participate in the Festival's competition must submit their contents online in one of the following categories:

  • Fiction (feature film, TV content, short film)
  • Documentary
  • Animation (one-off or series)
  • Live recording (concerts, sports and other events)
  • Special formats (advertising, corporate film, graphical overlay, music video, theme park visual ride, museum content)
  • Student Films

A selection of films from the competition will be presented as part of 3Discovery, a festival taking place in cinemas throughout Seine-Saint-Denis from June 10 to 25, 2013. 3Discovery offers the public an opportunity to attend premieres or screenings in the presence of film crews.

Dimension 3 Festival, the most prominent festival dedicated to independent S3D production, has been showcasing new talents from all around the world for 7 years. This year, Dimension 3 Festival takes another step and becomes a festival of all new dimensions of the image, with the launch of a category dedicated to 4K contents
