Leading longform post-production company Post Logic Studios has hired digital intermediate colorist Doug Delaney, who is best known for his work on the digital intermediate for THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING. As one of three colorists supervised by Peter Doyle and cinematographer Andrew Lesnie, ASC, Delaney spent more than five months in New Zealand on the meticulous color grading of the effects-laden epic. Since then, Delaney has completed digital intermediates for YOURS, MINE AND OURS with cinematographer Theo van de Sande, ASC, VENOM with cinematographer Steve Mason, ASC, THE GRAVEDANCERS with director Mike Mendez, and THE RING TWO with director Hideo Nakata.
Delaneys other credits include digital intermediate sequences for ICE HARVEST and THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS and additional color timing for THE ITALIAN JOB, THE MATRIX: RELOADED, JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, SPY KIDS, VANILLA SKY, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY, AMERICAN BEAUTY, KUNDUN and ARMAGEDDON, among many others. Delaney is a contributing member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and, working closely with cinematographer Allen Daviau, ASC, graded the well-known StEM (Standard Test Evaluation Material) test footage for the ASC and the Digital Cinema Initiatives Group (DCI). As the two groups establish technical standards for the acquisition, creation, distribution and projection of a comprehensive Digital Cinema system, the StEM footage is available to all facilities that provide digital film services as a certified reference guide from the ASC.
Delaney joins Post Logics respected digital intermediate colorists Lou Levinson, Frank Roman and Sheri Eisenberg on the facilitys high performance digital intermediate pipeline, featuring the newest DI tools available, including Spirit 4K and Northlight film scanners, Arrilaser film recorders, Baselight color correction, Barco 2K film projectors and a Bright Systems storage area network (SAN) capable of handling the data-intensive workflow of multiple DI projects.

Also coming on board at Post Logic are account exec Michael Moncreiff and senior audio mixer Jamie Santos. Moncreiff was previously a producer and sales exec at Pacific Title Imaging, where he was instrumental in building their digital film services. Among the projects he oversaw there are PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2 and 3, FINAL DESTINATION 3, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE and the Sundance hit FRIENDS WITH MONEY.
Santos, who joins from Ear to Ear/Audio Banks, brings a wide-ranging background in sound for film, film trailers, television programs and commercials. He mixed THE CONTENDER and THE AMAZING RACE, and contributed package and show open mixing to the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards and Billboard Music Awards.
