Deleted Proud of Your Boy Song Highlights Aladdin DVD

As with previous Platinum Editions for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and THE LION KING, Walt Disney Home Ent. has dipped into its vaults for the two-disc ALADDIN DVD ($29.99, which streets Oct. 5, 2004) to include the deleted song Proud of Your Boy by Oscar-winning songwriters Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. The poignant number, which can be viewed as a demo accompanied by original storyboard drawings, or performed by Clay Aiden with storyboards or as a music video, provides a glimpse at a more intimate vision of the street rat who longs to be the ideal his mother always wished for.

The fast-paced romantic adventure blockbuster from 92, underscored by Robin Williams hilarious tour-de-force voicing of the Genie (urban satire, Jeffrey Katzenberg-style), naturally comes fully loaded on DVD. Along with pristine picture and sound, there are two audio commentaries led by co-directors John Musker and Ron Clements that give us a personal view of what it was like working with the 600-plus artists, animators, technicians, songwriters, voice actors and musicians.

Plus, theres a virtual magic carpet ride with all-new animation developed by the original ALADDIN animation team that also created the 3-D MICKEYS PHILHARMAGIC SHOW at the Walt Disney World Resort. And theres also a new navigational system allows you to watch the making of doc, A Diamond in the Rough, in either linear fashion or by branching out into specific areas of interest.

Other bonus features include:* Alan Menken: Musical Renaissance Man* Deleted scenes & songs* The Art Of ALADDIN* 3 Wishes game* Inside The Genie's Lamp new 3D tour* The Genie World Tour* A Whole New World music video from Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey
