Tech startup’s new AI-powered platform kicks off targeted social media challenge; upload and transform your 2D videos into 3D animation, then post on Tik Tok or Instagram to compete for prizes and free subscriptions.
Motion technology startup DeepMotion recently launched their 3D animation cloud service, Animate 3D, an AI-powered platform where 2D video files are transformed into 3D animations for use in games, film, and other projects. The platform eliminates the need for traditional mocap hardware and suits, providing easy, accessible, full-body motion capture; animations are turned around in minutes.
Animate 3D: Video Capture Guidelines:
To celebrate the launch, the company is kicking off #Animate3DYourself, a targeted social media challenge for its most creative users seeking prizes and subscriptions to the platform. The challenge invites users to create a video that fits the competition's themes, from victory poses and pop-star choreography to their best video game K.O move. Participants will upload their video to the Animate 3D service and turn it into a 3D animation - personalizing it with a custom character if they choose - then submitting the animation online on their favorite platform for judging (Tik Tok and Instagram preferred).
Animate 3D: Custom Character Upload Walkthrough:
- First Place: The grand prize winner will receive $500 (US), plus a 2-month subscription to Animate 3D
- Second Place: Second place receives $300 (US), plus a 2-month subscription to Animate 3D
- Third Place: Third place receives $150 (US), plus a 2-month subscription to Animate 3D
- Plus 10 Honorable Mentions to receive $50 (US) each
The challenge will be led by animation and tech influencers including TikToker Erik Chmil (@Daily3D), and Instagram artist Harriet Davey (@harriet.blend), among others.
