DC's Animated ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Adaptation in Development

The announcement appears inconspicuously in a list of bonus features on the upcoming animated ‘Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two’ home entertainment release.

We’re filing this one in the “out of left field” category. DC has revealed development has begun on their animated film adaptation of the popular fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. The announcement appears very inconspicuously in a list of bonus features included with the upcoming animated movie Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two. To view the “bonus” info yourself, check out the entry "a sneak peek at the next DC animated movie - an advanced look at Injustice" that’s part of the special features on the upcoming Digital and Blu-ray releases coming this summer.

Besides this cheeky sneak peek, no other information is currently known about the new film. Both 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us and its 2017 sequel, Injustice 2, are set in an alternate DC Universe, led by a tyrannical Man of Steel, driven mad after being tricked into killing Lois Lane and their unborn child. The storyline has also been buffed by a spinoff series of comics, ensuring lots of source material to pull from.

Keep an eye out for more Injustice news, and grab Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One on Digital and Blu-ray June 22, 2021, and Part Two July 27, 2021 on Digital and August 10, 2021 on Blu-ray.
