THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's Steven Zeitchik reports that Dark Horse's comic FEAR AGENT is in early development at Universal Studios.
The project is now in an open-writing assignment. The rights are controlled by producer Jonathan Shestack.
The story follows a colorful, borderline alcoholic astronaut called Heath Huston, a Texasn who works as a fear agent whose mission is to destroy threats to planet Earth.
Image Comics began publishing the series in 2005 before it moved to Dark Horse the next year. Dark Horse has been behind the HELLBOY and 30 DAYS OF NIGHT films, and have partnered with Universal for an overall production and distribution deal.
