The Disney+ series from Marvel Studios will take a new creative direction, although it seems Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will still reprise their roles from the original Netflix-Marvel series.
It looks like Daredevil: Born Again will be… born again. The Disney+ series is undergoing a massive creative overhaul, including new writers and directors, Variety has confirmed.
Although the search for a new team is still underway, some material shot before the SAG-AFTRA strike may be utilized, pending new scripts. For now, all that is known about the project is that a previous announcement claimed an 18-episode first season, with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising their roles as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, and Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk from the Netflix series.
While former head writers and Covert Affairs co-creators Chris Ord and Matt Corman will no longer be penning the series from Marvel Studios, they will still be credited as executive producers.
Daredevil: Born Again was originally set to stream on Disney+ in Spring 2024. Don’t hold your breath… or cover your eyes.
