Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert to Direct on ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’

The ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ directorial team has signed on to helm at least one episode of the ‘Star Wars’ original series starring Jude Law, from executive producers Jon Watts, Christopher Ford, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, streaming this year only on Disney+.

Fresh off their Oscar win for the American absurdist comedy-drama Everything Everywhere All at Once, directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert are reportedly hitting the franchise circuit with Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

According to Lucasfilm, the New Republic-era series “tells the story of four kids who find themselves lost in the vastness of the galaxy trying to find their way home.” While further plot details have not yet been released, it is being described as Stranger Things in space and is definitely not a kid’s show.

Skeleton Crew stars Jude Law, while Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni Jon Watts, and Christopher Ford executive produce. Watts recently helmed the blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures while Ford wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will launch on Disney+ sometime this year.
