Dan Lin Ankles SVP Post at Warner Bros.

Dan Lin, who is overseeing JUSTICE LEAGUE, has left his SVP of Production post at Warner Bros. to form his own production unit on the lot, report the trades. Lin will officially move over to Lin Pictures starting Jan. 1. The deal will see Lin producing films for Warners exclusively for the first three years of his contract, as well as remaining the shepherd on projects he already has in development and in production under his current SVP role.

Lin went to Jeff Robinov, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, and COO Alan Horn this summer with the idea of creating his own company at the studio. Lin hopes to leverage his work on big-budget productions to use advancing technology to help streamline production.

Originally, Lin came to work at Warners as an intern. In 2002, he was made VP of Production and was raised to SVP last year.
