World of Wonder has licensed the cult classic fish-out-of-water animated series – all 13 episodes hit the streamer tomorrow, April 28.
Emmy-winning media company, World of Wonder, has announced the 1980s cult classic animated series Galaxy High is heading to the Wow Presents Plus streaming platform. The series tells a fish-out-of-water story the follows two Earth teenagers accepted to the Intergalactic High School located on an asteroid. All 13 episodes hit the streamer April 28 at 3 pm PT.
The show is produced and directed by Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter), and features the voice talent of actor Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons) and music by Don Felder of The Eagles. The release marks World of Wonder’s first series licensed for the Wow Presents Plus platform, expanding its offerings, including additional animation projects.
In the 2D series, on Earth, Doyle Cleverlobe is a popular skilled athlete, and shy Aimee Brighttower is the smartest girl in school. But, once in space, things reverse - the alien teenagers accept Aimee, while Doyle just rubs them the wrong way.
The series joins WOW’s original animated projects Drag Tots and Why R Humans on the platform, along with its extensive unscripted library, including The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Party Monster, Freedia Got a Gun, and the global Drag Race franchise.
