Streaming service boasts 50,000 episodes and over 25,000 hours of anime series, music, and films with content dubs in 12 languages; new bold brand identity reflects genre’s dynamic nature and popularity.
Leading Japanese anime destination, Crunchyroll announced hitting a major milestone, surpassing 15 million monthly subscribers on its streaming service. The company features anime across streaming, theatrical, events, games, music, news, consumer products, and collectibles with a focus on connecting fans and creators in celebration of their shared passions.
“Today marks an exciting milestone not only for Crunchyroll, but for the entire anime industry,” said Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini. “It is proof that the rich stories, characters, and experiences that our partners create are resonating deeply with fans at record numbers all over the world. As the number of people excited about anime continues to explode and the breadth of content continues to widen, we believe it has never been a better time to be an anime fan.”
Crunchyroll has built one of the world’s largest dedicated anime streaming libraries of 50,000 episodes and over 25,000 hours of anime series, music, and films while expanding into experiences across events, theatrical, gaming, ecommerce, and others. Each season, the platform brings between 45 and 60 new and returning series to fans, from co-productions to acquisitions, including signature series such as Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Chainsaw Man, and Solo Leveling.
Last year, Crunchyroll partnered with SMEJ (Sony Music Entertainment Japan) to bring anime-related music to the service, including 3,300 music videos and concerts. In addition, the platform recently added new dub languages, Tamil, and Telugu, and now dubs content in 12 languages.
Crunchyroll’s recently updated brand identity includes a modernized logo with a balanced eye symbol and revamped wordmark; a new font set called Crunchyroll Atyp blends classic and modern elements for improved readability; and its vibrant color system features orange, black, white, and taupe to reflect anime's dynamic nature.
