To kick off new season, licensing partner Bioworld has introduced a new slate of ‘Bananya’ branded products.
Crunchyroll has announced that Bananya, will return for Season 2, airing on their platform during the fall simulcast season. Fans can expect more adventures with Bananya and friends, including over 20 new characters.
To kick off this second season, Crunchyroll has partnered with Bioworld to create a new slate of Bananya products across a broad selection of categories, including apparel, sleepwear, bags, wallets, headwear, footwear, accessories, desk collectibles. Other recent licenses granted by Crunchyroll include Bittyboomers for Bananya bluetooth clip on speakers, Fabrique Innovations for Bananya fabric, and CTC foods for Bananya Ramune soft drinks.
Looking ahead to Season 2:
There are still many mysterious creatures in this universe that we don’t know about. On a distant planet, one mysterious species has come into existence. They are known as Bananyas. What sort of planet do the Bananyas come from, and what sort of life do they lead? And what if they began to dream about coming to Earth someday?
More than 1 million licensed Bananya products have been sold in North America to date, including gear such as apparel, bags, hats, stationery, calendars, wall art, home decor, accessories, plush, and vinyl. The items are being sold in the U.S. and abroad at Target, Walmart, Kohl’s, GameStop, Hot Topic, Box Lunch, Forever 21, Spencer’s, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Primark, George, Jay Jays.
Season 1 of Bananya ran for 13 episodes and is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
