'The Croods' to Close Holland Animation Film Fest

The 16th edition of the Holland Animation Film Festival closes on March 24th with the Dutch premiere of the 3D animated feature from DreamWorks, “The Croods.”

On Sunday, March 24th, the 16th edition of the Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF) will close with the Dutch premiere of the 3D animated feature The Croods.

The latest production by DreamWorks Animation is directed by Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, known for the hit movie How To Train Your Dragon (2010). The Croods is the perfect closing film for the diverse festival and can be seen in theaters all over the country starting March 27th.

The Croods tells the story of the world’s first family road trip. When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family must embark on a comedy adventure into strange and spectacular territory in search of a new home. As if patriarch Grug (Nicolas Cage) didn't already have enough to handle, it goes from bad to worse when they encounter an imaginative nomad named Guy (Ryan Reynolds). With Guy's help the Croods conquer their fear of the outside world and discover that they have exactly what it takes to survive – each other.

The Croods

This long-awaited movie is based on an original idea by John Cleese. The Croods features the voices of Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman. The Croods arrives in U.S. theaters on March 22, 2013.
