Creative Studio ‘ILMxLAB’ Rebrands as ‘ILM Immersive’

The VFX giant reveals new logos and branding reflecting the studio's advancements in innovative multiplatform storytelling via virtual and mixed reality; its latest release, ‘Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge - Enhanced Edition’ is available on PlayStation VR2.

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) has announced the rebranding of its creative studio ILMxLAB as ILM Immersive. Established in 2015 with talent from Lucasfilm, ILM, and Skywalker Sound, the studio has released several award-winning experiences in immersive storytelling for Star Wars and Marvel Studios.

VP of Immersive Content Vicki Dobbs Beck said, “We're proud to be an innovation hub with a commitment to continuing to push the state-of-the-art on behalf of ILM and Lucasfilm, inviting our fans around the world to truly ‘Step Inside Our Stories.’ This new brand name really reflects the growth and evolution of our creative studio and will serve us for many years to come.”

ILM Immersive recently released Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge - Enhanced Edition on PlayStation VR2. The studio aims to tell connected, innovative stories across multiple platforms through virtual and mixed-reality storytelling.
