Create Art For Concrete Jungle Through MyToons

MyToons.com has launched its latest art competition, "The Concrete Jungle." MyToons has teamed up with Grammy-award winning music and film producer Quincy Jones III to give artists from around the world an opportunity to help brand his upcoming hip-hop and skateboard movie, CONCRETE JUNGLE.

Artists everywhere are invited to submit original artwork and designs for a chance to have their work incorporated into the movie collateral and marketing materials of this new film. In addition, artists will also have a chance at over $10,000 in cash and prizes.

CONCRETE JUNGLE, produced by Jones' QD3 Ent., takes an in-depth look at skateboarding, hip-hop and the convergence of the two cultures. The film also features some of today's most innovative artists, including Pharrell Williams, Tony Hawk, Paul Rodriguez Jr. and more.

"CONCRETE JUNGLE takes a look at one of the least understood aspects of urban culture -- it's hip-hop, it's taking it to the streets with a skateboard, it's life, and it's art," Jones said. "Art is definitely an integral part of defining this pop-culture phenomenon."

On September 19, the celebrity judging will begin with three semi-finalists chosen and announced every Friday. The 30 semi-finalists will then move on to the next round of judging, where 10 finalists will be chosen and put in the running for the grand prize. Finalists will each receive a designer 2GB Mimobot USB flash drive, courtesy of Mimoco.

On December 3, the grand prize winner and two runners-up will be announced. In addition to the movie branding opportunity, the grand prize winner will also take home a cash prize of $2,000, with the runners-up receiving $500 each.

Submissions will be accepted now through November 21. For complete rules and details, visit MyToons.com/contests/ConcreteJungle.
