Corus Networks Release Fall Schedule

Corus Ent. announced highlights from its 2007 fall schedules.

"Treehouse, Discovery Kids and YTV are with kids at every stage of their journey through childhood - from preschooler to tween to teen," said Scott Dyer, evp/gm, kids, Corus Ent. "This fall, we're doing what we do best: giving young Canadians great programming from around the world, from preschool shows that parents trust to entertaining live-action dramas to hit series, like SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, plus a slate of kid-friendly reality series."

On YTV's Saturday morning cartoon block, Crunch, Corus will launch the new animated YTV original production STORM HAWKS. The series features five death-defying mismatched teens who fight villains in the sky on their flying motorcycles. With 52 half-hour episodes, STORM HAWKS debuts with a one-hour special in its regular timeslot Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at 10:00 am. Saturday mornings continue with a teenaged Superman defending the rights of all free worlds and upholding the laws of the newly formed United Planets in LEGION OF SUPERHEROES, beginning Saturday, Sept. 8, at 11:00 am.

YTV also brings back new episodes of popular returning series, including AVATAR, BEING IAN, EL TIGRE: THE ADVENTURES OF MANNY RIVERA, ERKY PERKY, MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT, RUBY GLOOM, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and VIVA PINATA.

Treehouse will also bring viewers the internationally successful series, LAND BEFORE TIME. Using a composite of 2D animations with 3D backgrounds, this series is a continuation of the much beloved world created by Don Bluth. The series will premiere on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at 8:00 am.

Treehouse will also have new episodes of kids' favorites THE BACKYARDIGANS, ELMO'S WORLD, GLOBAL GROVER, GO DIEGO GO, PLAY WITH ME SESAME, THOMAS & FRIENDS and WONDERPETS.
