Corus and Pipeline Adopt eyeon Fusion

eyeon Software announced the integration of its award-winning compositing tool Fusion in the post production pipelines at both Corus Entertainment and Pipeline Studios.

Toronto, Canada -- eyeon Software announced the integration of its award-winning compositing tool Fusion in the post production pipelines at both Corus Entertainment and Pipeline Studios.

Corus Entertainment is one of the most successful media and entertainment companies in Canada. Corus assets include Nelvana, one of the world’s leading creators, producers, and distributors of children’s animated programming.

“Babar has been one of Nelvana’s flagship productions for many years, and as a brand itself, it has an amazing legacy attached which we must live up to in terms of quality and expertise,” said Darin Bristow, Senior Technical Producer/Director -2D, Corus Entertainment. “So, with the bar already set quite high, we cannot take any chances in terms of not delivering the best product possible within our tight TV schedule. The production pipeline itself is comp-centric, and by implementing Fusion as our compositing software, we knew there was nothing its high end toolsets couldn’t handle. The end result looks absolutely fantastic, and Fusion was a big part of keeping the Babar look.”

Pipeline Studios is a leading Canadian production company that provides 3D and 2D animation services for television, feature film, and entertainment industries on a global basis. Their studio remains the vanguard of the animation industry due, in part, to their progressive pipeline engineering and unsurpassed drive to succeed.

"We are very impressed with Fusion and the possibilities it gives us in our pipeline,” said Chris Giggie, Technical Producer, Pipeline Studios. “The technologically advanced toolset, speed, and native 3D capabilities will be great assets to our artists on the studio’s upcoming 2D and 3D productions.”

The choice to purchase eyeon Fusion as the compositing software for both studios was made to ensure that the production pipelines remain state-of-the-art. Fusion provides artists with the leading-edge toolset they require to remain at the top of their game.
