Comedy Central is nearing an order of 26 new episodes of FUTURAMA, reports Deadline.com. In 2009, the network brought back the series after it had been off the air for six years. The first 13 episodes of season six averaged 2.5 million watchers. The final 13 episodes are set to air this summer. The seventh season will run like the sixth in two parts over 2012 and 2013. Matt Groening and David X. Cohen created the series, which originally ran on FOX.
