Colorland Animation Ltd. and Tundra Productions, Inc. are introducing their first original co-produced series to buyers at MIPCOM 2002. Entitled OH MAX, the 26 x half-hour children's series is currently in production. OH MAX and the new animated film IN SEARCH OF SANTA mark Colorland's debut as producers of their own product. Max is an overgrown, accident-prone, recently adopted puppy with an overactive imagination. In his waking life (portrayed in CG animation), Max is still adjusting to his newly adopted household and resident pets. Max is well-meaning but a troublemaker and his frequent mishaps, or "Maxidents," trigger outlandish daydreams (depicted in traditional 2D cel animation) featuring Max as the hero. Colorland Animation Ltd. is a Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China-based animation production facility providing animation services for TV, video, features, games and interactive media. Previous projects from Colorland include the half-hour series WHEEL SQUAD for France Animation, and TABALUGA II and FLIPPER II for Yoram Gross/EM Pty. Ltd. Colorland and Tundra have previously co-produced animated videos such as the 3D feature RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER AND THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS and STELLALUNA, a 2D animated video for Scholastic Entertainment Inc.
