LAIKA has unveiled a new clip from Missing Link, the stop-motion studio’s fifth animated feature coming to U.S. theaters next Friday from Annapurna Pictures.

This April, meet Mr. Link. He's eight feet tall, 630 lbs., and covered in fur, but don't let his appearance fool you... he is funny, sweet, and adorably literal, making him the world's most lovable legend at the heart of Missing Link, the globe-trotting family adventure from LAIKA. Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman) to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight(Zoe Saldana), our fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend. Through it all, the three learn that sometimes you can find a family in the places you least expect.

The new clip, “I Am Very Literal,” gives audiences an intimate look at Mr. Link, or Susan, as he wants to be known to friends, the slightly silly, surprisingly smart and soulful star of the film and the last living remnant of Man’s primitive ancestry.

Watch the clip below, along with Sofia Reyes’ performance of “Do-Dilly-Do (A Friend Like You)” from the film’s soundtrack:

Missing Link is written and directed by Oscar nominee Chris Butler (ParaNorman), and is produced by LAIKA head of production and Oscar nominee Arianne Sutner (ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings) and LAIKA president & CEO Travis Knight, who earned an Academy Award nomination and BAFTA win for his directorial debut, Kubo and the Two Strings.

In addition to Galifianakis, Jackman and Saldana, the voice cast boasts a roster of internationally renowned and award-winning actors from all corners of the world including Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Timothy Olyphant, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Amrita Acharia and Ching Valdes-Aran.

Missing Link will be released in the U.S. by distributor Annapurna nationwide on Friday, April 12, 2019.
