Chuck Jones Doc Debuts On PBS

PBS will air a 90-minute documentary on the life and work of Chuck Jones entitled CHUCK JONES: EXTREMES AND IN-BETWEENS, A LIFE IN ANIMATION. Scheduled to air Wednesday, November 22nd at 8 pm, the special includes animated clips, archival footage and new interviews with Jones and a range of celebrity experts including Steven Spielberg, John Lassiter, Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Ken Burns, Joe Dante, Roger Ebert, Stan Freberg, Ron Howard, Leonard Maltin, Lorne Michaels and Andre Previn. The film is a co-production of CAMI Spectrum, RM Associates and Thirteen/WNET New York. The production team was headed by executive producer Matthew Ringel, president of CAMI Spectrum, co-executive producer John Schulman, vice president of Warner Bros., and producer/director/writer Margaret Selby. Also working on the piece was editor Steven Wechsler, co-producer/writer Greg Ford, director of photography Mead Hunt, sound recorder Kipjaz Savoie, associate producer Dara Yueh and production coordinator/assistant editor Rachel Hepler. Stock footage was supplied by Warner Classic Animation, Turner Entertainment Co., Film Preservation Associates and Video Dimensions. Archival stills were provided by Artra Publishing, Bison Productions, Michael Barrier, Steve Schneider, Linda Jones Enterprises and Warner Bros. Classic Animation.
